More than 250 logistics and industrial businesses together form the Zeeland ports. What spearheads Zeeland Seaports is the idea that companies can benefit from each other’s strengths as much as possible. One way in which this occurs is through the formation of clusters. Valuepark Terneuzen, a successful cluster of companies in the chemical industry, has already been a good example of this for ten years.

  • Short lines

The Zeeland port area forms an attractive business location for industry. Zeeland Seaports has a tradition of short lines: accessible and cooperative when it comes to accommodating existing and new industry.  The costs of setting up business are competitive. The Zeeland ports are also known for their dedicated, qualified and flexible employees, who take pride in their work.

    Sustainable cluster

Biopark Terneuzen makes Zeeland Seaports a leader when it comes to sustainable industry. In collaboration with Ghent (Biobase Europe), the aim is to grow to become the largest bio-based cluster in Europe. For instance via a unique pilot plant in Ghent, where companies can test their sustainable innovations before launching them on the market. The training centre in Terneuzen makes the sustainable cluster complete: this centre guarantees bio-based businesses specialised personnel.
